Suwon, S Korea

During my 2008/2009 Christmas Holidays I ventured to South Korea to conduct a TESOL course for a group of very talented elementary teachers in Suwon, South Korea. Their school system is very similar to that of Australia or the United States.

The South Korean Government’s initiative to train as many of their citizens in English as a Second Language (ESL) is high priority. There are many native English ESL teachers teaching in Universities, schools and English training centers.

Now an additional direction is in training South Korean elementary teachers by studying a TESOL course, qualifying them to become ESL teachers.

Click the name of these students below to hear their story. They use English names to make life easier for their Native English speaking teachers.
